Well, we were adventurous this weekend. We took a trip down to Georgia to the George L. Smith State Park just outside of Twin City. We went down there to see family and church family at a church picnic but Jenn had wanted to go canoeing for a month or more. So…. we went canoeing for about an hour. We had fun though even if it was just an hour. I’m off on a business starting at around 3pm. I’ll be going up to test some materials with a laser in Maryland. Its really still odd for me to fathom being at home in the morning and then being up north 5 hours later… worst of all, NO SWEET TEA.

Jenny and I went to Statesboro for mothers day. I ended up giving my mom a little bit more than I had planned but probably slightly less than she had. I got there and was given a chore list (hey, I thought chores ended when you left the house). So, I ended up helping set up an 8'x8' raised garden bed and hauling away some trash and old appliances. I did some other stuff too. That only topped off my long day though. Saturday morning, I had woken up to change the oil in the car that we were going to take to Statesboro. All in all, it was a long day!! Got home at 11:30 in time to jump in bed to get rested up for church in the morning.

Congrats to the wife. Jenny got nominated for the Memorial Health 2004 Excellence in Nursing awards. She said the food was lacking substance. Who heard of inviting people to lunch and feeding them finger foods. Its like having a wedding at 11 and not feeding people lunch.
